Educational Goals and Objectives

The purpose of this Christian College and Theological Seminary is to provide education and training to ministers, Bible teachers and Christian workers. Maranatha is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian College and Seminary, which specializes in theological and ministerial training. A college education is a valuable asset to help individuals find direction, perceive opportunities, adjust to life and make a contribution to society. A Christian professional education further corroborates the inherent values of the intellectual, social, physical and spiritual aspects of Christian development. Maranatha provides affordable opportunities to people who want to experience further education. It provides Biblical and professional training to ministers as well as Christian lay people who desire to serve their churches and communities as preachers, teachers and religious leaders. The educational objectives are simplistic yet visionary.

Curriculum Philosophy

Maranatha Christian College & Theological Seminary, Inc. offers a diploma program and advanced degree programs, all of which are structured to give each student a thorough background in Biblical doctrine. In the undergraduate program, every student is a Biblical Studies major. The curriculum provides students with a complete foundation in biblical education in order that they might have a theological comprehension of the history, language, thought, and expression of past and present world cultures. All of this is designed to help students develop a truly Biblical world and life view.

In the graduate school, students have the option of two professional programs depending upon their area of specialized interest and/or personal vocation. The graduate school program (theological seminary) is designed to more fully equip students to identify and fortify the specific gifts, talents and skills that are required for them to succeed in the calling that the Lord has made upon their lives. Through its curricular programs, Maranatha Christian College & Theological Seminary, Inc. has the following goals for its students:

To develop a personal relationship and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. This begins through faith in Him, matures through understanding God's truth and ways as revealed in the Scriptures, and culminates in the experience of spiritual discipline and obedience which leads to a desire to share the message of Christ with the whole world.

A Knowledge of Bible Doctrine and Truth

To develop a comprehensive, coherent, and consistent philosophy of life. This is accomplished by a thorough knowledge of the Bible, theology, and the skills related to the acquisition of spiritual truth.

Christian Service
